Twice a year I spray mine down with mount medic and wipe off with a paper towel or microfiber rag.
It’s important to keep bugs off them and don’t care for dust either
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

I have mine in my man cave that has a mini split that keeps the temperature and humidity constant - I have not cleaned them in 5 years and they look great - I did have a taxidermist tell me that humidity was the main factor in how they hold up over the years

I wipe down with a damp cloth one a year, dust twice a year.
