If you want some friendly advice, get a haircut and take a bath. You wouldn't get hassled so much.

Looks old to me. Short legs, saggy belly, Roman nose.

I was talking to a guy that guided down in S Texas, he said they taught him the best way to age is where the neck ties into the body, the lower into the brisket the older the deer. I think this deer is no more than 4 1/2 years old. But I’m not the best at aging them, even looking at their teeth throws me off.

5.5, maybe only 4.5. Back is very straight, looks a touch racehorsey still. Need more pics for better guess.

More pictures is always better. If that first pic isn’t deceptive with his neck line I’d start at 5 and could be more.

The date is wrong ...the deer is mature...Roman nose, brisket protrudes, neck comes down to the brisket, good girth, flanks full, ..however- "the hams are not full"...not sway back ....stomach only drops a little...horns have mass going into the skull...eyes squinching a little...the hocks are a little dark but not bleeding...I am thinking he is an older fellow. How old? I would not guess as I am confused a little as he just is not swayback but is in poor shape on the hams. So.... I will guess 61/2 to 71/2. The guess could be a little wrong or a lot wrong.LOL You could tell me I'm totally wrong and I would agree...LOL

From those pics I'm having a hard time making him 4 1/2. He needs 2 more years at least if you're wanting him to reach his prime antler growing potential. If you are trying to shoot him before the neighbor does, Well I get that. This deer has the roman nose and loose skin. Sway back, short front legs and protruding brisket. Verde

I don't see a true "Roman" nose in any of these pictures, but I too thought it indicated age. 'Had a TPWD Biologist tell me that a Roman nose means absolutely nothing about age.

Yep I’ve been told Roman nose comes brown breaking it, which can come with age however we have had many scrappy young deer that have had a Roman nose.
If you struggle to see 4 in that deer your looking at the wrong things.

First picture he looks 4 1/2. Second picture he looks 5 1/2. He could be older but the tight skin makes it hard for me to go any older. Pretty deer.

I don't see a roman nose either now...however the first pic showed it could have one....with better pics....I'll recap to 51/2 to 61/2 with the neck reaching out to the end of the brisket with a good girth and a dropping belly...still showing a good mass antlers at the base.

Not the same deer, or different years. This deer is 6.5-7.5 easily.

It’s not the same deer the OP posted. He was giving his opinion on the OPs deer and posted that one as a comparison.

Top deer is 5.5 and rutted down
Bottom is 7.5 year old deer and probably on protein
