Anyone have any experience hunting NE Atoka up around the Daisy area? Thinking about picking up a place closer to the house as an extra lease. Place looks great, but butts up to a public road that leads to public land and have a bad feeling about poachers.

From my experience poaching is a way of life in Oklahoma
I’ve been hunting up there 20 plus years…

Poaching isn’t as bad as it used to be to since they implemented a restitution fine also. Use to it was a 200 fine and you basically kept deer

The area is pretty good.. The only downside is the price of tags now which is around $705 for nonresidents.

Good friend of mine lives in Atoka and has property where you're looking to hunt. Poaching has gone way down and he has been getting some good bucks in the last few years. It might be worth a look.
