Hey guys,

I lost my lease this season. Landowner sold it.

I'm looking for a long term annual deer lease 2 to 4 hours from Houston. Last lease was in Hondo. Rifle/Bow allowed. I'm a management minded hunter. I have no problem passing on young deer. I respect the animal and don't take it lightly. I'm a DIYer and handy on the lease. My budget is around $3k. I'm not interested in a "beer lease". Looking for a family friendly lease to bring the family to. I have two small children that I want to teach to hunt. They aren't of age yet.

About me:
I'm 38. been hunting for 5 years. Introduced to hunting when I was a kid but family moved on from it. I married into a hunting family and fell in love with it.
I'm married with 2 kids. My wife doesn't hunt but likes that I do. Want to teach the kids when they get older.
I don't drink so not interested in a beer lease.
I work in Houston at an oil & gas company.
I can send lease references upon request.
Most years I've harvested 2 deer. I've passed on more deer than I can count. All about management of the population.
I respect the land owner and wont run a muck on the land.
