Good luck on your muley hunt. I went last weekend to Childress and was lucky enough to get one.
24-1/2 inches wide. 9 points or I guess the proper way on mule deer is a 4x5. He was not in the rut last weekend.

The background on that muley hunt.

This is the first year on a new lease south of Childress, Tx (400 miles one way) with a bunch of guys who have
been hunting it for over 20 years. So, I got last pick of where to put my stand. Was told that
there is nothing over there where I put my pop up and feeder. But I thought maybe the
first year would be a learning curve for me. In the 20 years that they have been on the lease
only two mule deer have been killed and they were small ones with 16 inch spreads.
I had four days to hunt. After first day, saw nothing, got sick, stayed in bed next two days. Last
day, still sick, did no go out in the morning. Last evening of last day headed to the pop up with my
wife who was taking care of me. 60 degrees, 15 mph wind, sunny. Got in stand at 3:00, shot this buck at 3:03. 24-1/2inches and
9 points. I guess in mule deer language it is a 5x4.
