OP bobcat1 THF Trophy Hunter B Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 8,632 Sanger, Texas	We were invited to my brother and nephews lease in Breckenridge Texas. It was a great day even though no shots were fired. As soon as we got inthe stand about 2pm, a pack of 6 coyotes marched and chased each other right thru the middle of the field. In hindsight we should have sent lead flying. We never saw a deer all day. My Brother at another stand did not see any either and we heard no shots all day. Dumb cows did not help anything either. Oh, by the way. My nephew buzzed our stand in his airplane about 3:30 twice. LOL He's a nut. We had fun just being together though. Maybe next time. Bobby Barnett

Save the bogpod for those times you're on the ground. Fill a Crown Royal bag with plastic beads for filling stuffed animals. They sell it at craft stores. Weighs nothing and goes in your pack. That's your front rest. Rear rest is elbow on the open window. I see that Tikka Roughtek is getting some work! An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

Sitting on the ground, they're great. Adjust way low and you have a stand anywhere you want to sit. Great to see the boy out there! An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

We are expecting to go again saturday for end of the year hunt. couple photos from the cell cams below. Hudson and I went again the day after Christmas, and it was lighly misting and raining from about 6am-11am, it was only supposed to be minor overcast to cut out by 9-10am. right before we started packing up, saw a very tall 8 point but it would not present a shot for us, he was in and out within 30-45 seconds. I have been talking with family about this deer as it had a very big impression left with me, you know, losing sleep and all that lol, and my Uncle sent this photo to me from his camera in the neighboring field from his photo history, and I am 99% sure this is the same buck that i saw with my son. We are hoping to get a crack at him again in a couple of days. 8pt from the story(I believe) this morning, 1-2-25. different deer, maybe we will see this one too! RIP Grandpa, I will always love and miss you. 2-6-11 Father to Hudson Lane, my heart warrior, and Ryan Taylor, my youngest.
