Shot this guy yesterday afternoon. Have passed on countless other Boars up to this point waiting on a big one. While videoing a group of smaller pigs with my phone this one popped out of the brush and I knew right away he was what I was waiting for. He made it about half way to the feeder before he decided something wasn’t right and turned and ran back towards the brush. I had to rush a free handed quartering away shot from the 6.8 but it was a perfect hit. He ran about 30 yards to the East and blew right through my brush blind I bow hunt from. I got out of the stand and found him less than 3’ behind my chair.

He has to be a pretty old pig despite the lack of fight wounds because he has loose skin all over him. Only the second pig I have ever seen like that.

Well done! Getting that big boy out of the breeding stock is a good thing.
