When was this picture taken in relation to your rut?

My first impression is 3.5 yo, but wouldn’t be shocked if he were 4.5 especially if this pic was taken in post rut time like my bucks are all showing now.

Look at his hocks and think about your timing question.

Rutted down 4 or 5. Too much skin under chin to be 3.

The legs don't appear short...eyes are squinching and skin under the jaw....the hocks don't appear to be bleeding much and not dark...no girth to speak of ....so ...showing signs of mature and yet signs of inmature. So,,,mature buck with body in decline.

Yes, I know the deer. To be fair, he looks different with eye or binoculars. If you were to see him in real life, I'm pretty sure you would have guessed 3yr. He definitely looks different in the pic.
