Well, we found the 11 point a hunter shot last year. We looked for many hours and multiple times, but never found him. Shot placement on him wasn’t ideal. Glad to see the head mount still intact. We saw him a few times during bow season holding out for the bigger buck we had coming in.

I know coyotes probably carried the head around, but just in case they didn’t, how far did you find him from where he was shot and where y’all were searching?

Measuring with Google earth, just over a mile. We passed on him during bow season. But he was shot early rifle season when we stopped seeing a slightly bigger buck. He was a nice deer and some nice eye candy.

You wouldn’t believe the sheds and skulls I find while quail hunting. I’ve got a pretty good collection of sun bleached sheds in the garage.

One of my uncles had a typical 14 skull capped on the wall. Asked him about it as a kid he bs’d me a while the. Finally came clean that he found it dead on a bird lease and tossed it in the truck.
