is on. I killed mine on 11-21, pre rut exactly one year to the date as last year and two years + 1 day from 2022. Yesterday morning (11-26) it was like a switch had been flipped. We had been seeing some early signs but on this day from one end of our property to the other, which is several miles, we were all seeing new bucks that had not been on camera or seen live tending and chasing does. It should be really good hunting for the next 5-6 days.

Yup. Killed mine yesterday and hadn't seen him on camera since he was in velvet. Except for my son's mature buck he killed on the 20th that was tending a doe, up till then, had only seen the 2 year-olds pestering the does... and I mean PESTERING.

OS&W, waiting for the story... wife

Edit... never mind. Found the thread. cheers

Hunting was hard. 2nd year of above average rainfall along with 10" in November alone at the lease was great for the deer, hard on the hunter. With temps high up until just last week native browse is everywhere. This is also cover. Food is everywhere, deer are not moving as much to find groceries and when they do, they're harder to see. We finally got some nightly freezing temp's and that helped some. I had to move to a different set up just to catch a buck coming in and out of his bedding area. We also have more mule deer that have moved in on the South end of our place, pushing the white tails.
