I’ve got an opportunity to buy one very slightly used for $700. I’ve got one on a 7-08 JG built. I really like it. Question is, I need a scope for a 300 Win Mag, and am leaning toward this scope. I like matching things. Talk me out of it.

There is not a thing wrong with a Bushnell DMR. I've still got an ERS still going strong since 2016. Thousands of rounds fired accurately with it.

The only other consideration I'd suggest is Night Force NX8 2.5-20X

Although not as old as JGs, I’ve had excellent results with a DMR II. Do you know if you’re looking at a DMR, DMR II, or DMR III? All good scopes by the way, just different glass quality.

If it's got the 10MIL turrets, I wouldn't pass that up.

As someone else mentioned, the newer DMR models have much better glass than older models. $700 for an older model is just an ok deal at best. $700 for one of the newer ones is a steal.

Nothing wrong with the scopes for sure though. They're well made and reliable and have good features.

I have a DMR II on my 300 win. Great scope with good glass and have had 0 issues with it. No tracking issues and have taken it out to 1200yards several times and lots of work out to 600 yards. killed lots of animals with that scope over the years. I bought it new not long after they came out. I'd buy another without question. I've seen them used on the hide for $800.

Great scopes. I've had one on my 6.5 CM since it was built and has been flawless. I think I have a new one in the box if you are interested. PM me.
