Yeah, it’s me again. I was unsuccessfully waiting for a doe to show up on Friday afternoon, when I saw a small hole in the tin roof of the blind I was in. It isn’t old tin, so it shouldn’t have a hole. It’s not a bullet hole. I need to plug the hole, and do it from below, but don’t know what would work best. The hole is less than half the size of the fingernail on your little finger. About the size of a big self tapping screw, or a bit bigger.
- squirt a silicone sealant through the hole? - plug the hole with a fat screw, with silicone? - use the silicone or a grout and then use duct tape to hold it in place? - wooden or rubber plug? - a plug with silicone sealer?
Open for suggestions…

Is it a tower that you can't get outside above it?
I'm headed out in a bit to Flexseal the hell out of a couple of large cracks/ holes, from hail I guess, in the one plastic Blynd I have. Looks like its days are numbered.

Yep, I can’t get on top of the blind. I think I have some flexseal tape, that might work and be an easy solution.

For a tin roof, I have used your 1st solution successfully. Many times.
"squirt a silicone sealant through the hole"

I dug around in the barn workshop and found some Gorilla brand flex tape. Man, that’s some sticky stuff. We’ll see if it lasts.
The silicone sealant sounded like a good option. That’s next if the tape fails.

Is there no plywood under the tin roof? I’d shoot it full of silicone and cover it with tape.

No plywood up there. I’ll keep an eye on the tape and see how it holds up.

How do you stay awake when it starts a light rain?
