How do you like your hamburger when you brown it for dishes like chili or tacos. I like mine to be as small a piece as possible. I smash with a fork the whole time I brown it and until it is to my liking. Big chunks of HB meat in any dish just isn’t appealing. Smaller the better .

That would depend on how hungry I am at the moment. Generally, I don't care. It's ground beef.

I don’t like to keep stirring mixing etc. I like to let it really brown and cook a crust on the bottom then I’ll try to flip it in as few a pieces as I can to do again. After second side is browned I’ll chop it up more.
