Hey yall! does anyone know a good outfiters or pond spot to hunt near katy for ducks, ive been working alot with my dog and wanted to take her on her first duck hunt. I wanted to find a spot in the event shes not doing well it doesn't ruin someone else's hunt. Do yall know anyone who leases out a pond for the day?

Thanks in Advance !

If any outfitter offers to lease you a pond, RUN! None of them will lease a GOOD pond out. They can make too much money guiding on it if it is any good.

Just do a private guided hunt, that would be better. Maybe split the cost with a friend, tell the guide just one gun, let your friend shoot the ducks and you can focus on your dog. That would be the best thing for your dog. My cousin in Mississippi goes on guided hunts for free, he does not shoot he just works his dog.

Yeah, exactly. What I used to love about youth season, I could focus on my dog and let my kid shoot the ducks. You can watch your dog, make sure they don’t break…
