Acquired a new piece of ice fishing kit - bomber waterproof Otter storage case that stores 8 rods in ready to go fashion. Reels attached, handles on and line and lure on. No more fumbling with cold hands assembling stuff - ready to fish out of the case. Proper case like this is critical to protect the gear as sometimes i snowmobile 20 or 30 miles on rough bush trails to reach otherwise inaccessible lakes. Add in another 10 or 20 miles of travel over frozen lakes with open water jumps, pressure ridges and drifts that can really knock the cargo toboggan around. Will be way better than the old case which required reels and handles removed. +/- 5 weeks until safe first ice.
