Just out of curiosity, who all continues bow hunting during the general gun season? Do you switch back and forth during, or when general gun opens, the bow gets put away until next year?

I have 2 young, 20 something, people that bow hunt my place. They have both gotten really big bucks and are tagged out.

I bow hunt all season long.

Only time I break out a rifle for a whitetail is when I am invited somewhere that isn’t set up for bowhunting.

Didn’t do much for me

The place my best friend and I hunt is archery only. It is close and basically free to us (part of our work/retirement perks) along with a private lake to fish on, no duck hunting allowed.
That said, sometimes I do miss rifle hunting over a big green food plot.

I don't bow hunt at all. Just never got into it although in my home county i do sort of like the idea that bow hunting would open the season up earlier for me. I have younger kids though so we use the early youth weekend as our early start to hunting season around home. other than that my idea of bow hunting is maybe iron sight level gun. or maybe iron sight black powder.

I might hunt with bow a few times during general gun season after the freezer is full.

Two guys out of 4 on our lease are bow only. My old lease my right hand guy and took over when I left was a big bow hunter and 3 of his family and friends. They were bow all year. Slowly but surely more and more got into the bow. Generally I think more hunt bow early then rifle than straight bow. I only bow hunt to extend my season.

I would but none of my kids are ready for archery so I haven’t set up any archery spots yet

I normally get a good 10-15 days in Sept chasing elk and Mulie and another 5-7 chasing Pronghorns in oct.

I deer hunt at my farm in Missouri. Going back up this Sunday to hunt archery next week Monday through Friday. I still have 3 archery tags, didn’t get anything in early October trip. Gun starts November 16th and is only 11 days, can’t hunt archery during gun up there per the Missouri rules. Anyways I gotta handle up next week get some meat in freezer

I bow hunt like 90% of the time. Might bring a rifle once or twice a year
