Date hunted 11/2/2024: This past weekend was our youth hunt weekend in Louisiana so I took a friends 14 year old son out for duck hunt. 75 degrees, mostly sunny not real good conditions for a duck hunt but we don't have to have cold weather for good hunts over here. You got to go to know and we had ducks on the lease and in the area. We usually see mostly teal but for the hunt we had big ducks. The gadwall got up out of the pond when we went in and came back as the video shows. Gadwall limit. Beautiful marsh and real good duck hunt. The young man had a great time.

Nice, is that private? If it is looks like a big area. You need a dog.

There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE

We lease the property which is very common in the area.
Gators are a huge problem in the area. The other comments are right we have to wait until it gets colder to get them to hibernate. Although my friend might bring his dog this weekend. He didn't in September for the teal season. It is up to him.
