Looking forward to seeing and hearing about y’alls morning

A great big nothing so far. At least it ain’t raining though.

I’ve seen about 20 doe and 5 bucks this morning in northern Jack county. Kinda surprised the bucks were chasing like crazy

30 mph winds and drizzle here. I took the boys out and then came back to camp to snuggle with the Mrs.

Hope they see something, they are in a bottom with no service so I don’t have any updates. It’s good for them. 50/50 chance they are asleep.

My opener started a month ago so I’m not in a hurry to go sit, maybe will tonite.

But again, maybe not

5 Doe's and 3 8's. 2 of the 8's were big, but we have a few bigger boys on camera. So hopefully they show.

His name is Chorizo. He is about 12 feet from me in the pic checking out a scrape.

SW Young co. A few does early. I had a doe playing with its tiny fawn before a buck chased her off leaving the fawn to itself and it's still here alone. I've seen three different bucks including one I should have shot. There has been one on camera with a third antler protrusion I would like to get a look at first. Lots of other deer moving around in the woods near me. I have a heavy acorn drop right now. No pictures. That biggest buck camped out for over an hour 10-15 yards outside my window and I did not want to spook it sticking my phone or camera out the windows. I just heard one double tap sorta close, but other than that no shots around me. Very unusual for here.

Hunting near Fredericksburg. I’ve seen a lot of doe, but nothing that has made me want to pull the trigger.

Minor solunar hunting time is over now. 1:13pm is the next “major’ time. Got some seat time ahead of me. Hope my drinks and snacks hold out! 😄

I had a feeder not working, mad doe made numerous trips to the feeder, I could there was no corn on the ground, went and fixed the feeder at 0830, l have had a six point, a spike, and five doe since…heard 3 shot close together across the highway behind me.

Nothing here from my recliner. I leave Monday or Tuesday depending on this front.

14 this morning. Some on road corn.

I sure miss road corning. Reminds me that I need to sell my road feeder.

I saw 9 doe's and 6 bucks. Two of the bucks were nice symmetrical 8's but were young. In a year or two they will be nice. They all slept in though and didn't get moving until about 8:15.

My 62 year old buddy took his first deer in Noconna. Took three of us to get him in the truck. .270 at 80 yards.

Thanks Jimbo. I've known him 25 years. We've got him pumped up.

It rained all morning here but we saw a lot of deer and pigs, I had the 13 point my wife’s after and the big 8 our daughters hunting at 30 yards for 15 minutes and they saw all the pigs I was hunting. We’re swapping blinds this afternoon and try it again.

Good old double throat patchy

I just moved to our other blind myself. Now I get to hear the neighbors dogs yapping!

Got a call around 9:30 from the kid requesting a pick up. It was garbled and couldn’t hear anything he was saying, I told the wife he had either killed something or got tired of the wind.

Took his truck down there and saw him standing in the middle of the field…

Last buck he has killed was 4 years ago. He is lucky but also patient. He passed on another large 8 just prior to shooting this one.

Heck yah !
