There was PLENTY of traffic on I10 coming out. Way too dry on my place. Everyone be safe, especially with fires!

Hope all have a super good time and get a good deer. The wife managed to fall Oct. 23 and broke a wrist and her nose
What bad luck. Surgery yesterday and I sit here thinking about all the fresh air and maybe raindrops you all will experience. First opening miss in a long time.

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

Nothing since 8am here outside of Moran. No shots heard but I’ve only got one window open and I saw very little traffic coming in this morning.
Something really off about drinking iced coffee in the blind!

Well it was slow in Lampasas county. 1 nice 8 and 2 spikes out of 10 guys.Too hot and windy .
I'm going to give ti 2 week and try again. Maybe cooler and there will be some rut going on.

This past weekend was my opener. Got a nice doe about 6:40 Friday morning outside of Huntsville.

I hunted Sam Houston NF for many years up your way. It was hard hunting but when you got one it sure felt good.
My wife even got a couple 8 pointers in the NF.
