Good, Better or Best for panhandle cold, dry, long hikes to set ups, long sits, some cactus & mesquite?
An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

Which ever fits you better between that and Crispi West River 2.0 Boots @ Scheels

I'm a big fan of the soft, snake chaps/leggings that are below the knee in height. The area I used to hunt for a decade in southern Coleman County would have been a nightmare without them. Prickly pear was a welcome sight compared to the turkey pear.

I doubt they are even in business anymore. I wore them gassing rattlesnakes and they proved themselves several times. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2024/10/full-19470-434978-img_0194.jpeg)

I have had several pairs. The Danner Mens Vital Snake 17 inch Boot in Mossy Oak Break-Up are, by far, the best brought to my attention. Being lace up, they are a little bit of a pain to put on and take off, but they are most comnfortable I have ever worn. Think a tennis shoe snake boot. I have had mine for years. If taking a quick walk through snake country, I use my pull ons. If to be out there for an extended period of time, there is no question as to what I am putting on. They are waterproof which makes them somwhat hot in the sumer. I can deal with that. Used them when hunting bear last year in the vast paper country which is Maine and had little, if any in the way of snakes - very comfortable.
