'Hope all the kiddos have a lot of fun this weekend! I got an email from TPWD telling MLD Harvest option participants that a youth can use an MLD buck tag this weekend.  We've got 4 young'uns coming with a parent/guardian through the TWA program to start the doe (and turkey...and pig) blood flowing. 
...and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Gen. 1:28

That’s great that you open your gates to youth hunters through TWA. I know you have done it before. Very very good. TWA has great hunting programs available to youth and novice hunters but they cant do without willing landowners.
At some point in life its time to quit chasing the pot of gold and just enjoy the rainbow. FR

Gonna try to get my little guy on his first deer. Been practicing a lot last bit he has put a hurting on my stash of 22 lr in practice as well as 223 and the 30-30 we will take afield. Hope it pays off. I’ve been nervous for days already.
Good luck and good shooting to any afield!

I have done the same, mostly friends of the grandkids, friends and coworkers, so far they have taken one deer, a spike.

that's outstanding. both of my sons hunted youth weekend behind the house and we collected a nice buck. tried to get a doe too but it was pretty warm in the afternoons and deer didn't move well. saturday morning was good when we got the buck but sunday morning was very foggy. took a pretty good while before we could see well. there were deer there but they'd started to thin out by time our visibility had improved.
