This question is for those of you that use a tent in your deer camp. Do you leave it out for the season? Or set it up/take down each trip? This is not a tent, but I leave a pop up blind set up all season. I have done this for three seasons, and it has not been damaged by a storm, or blown over. Also do you feel safe running a Buddy propane heater while you sleep?

If you leave a tent up all season don’t be surprised when you show up after it starts getting colder and the S/W walls are covered on the inside by a thousand wasps and yellow jackets.

Kodiak Canvas or Colorado tent company.

you can ( although I don't like to ) run a propane heater inside a canvas. inside a vinyl tent, you will die very quickly.

Heavy canvas tent was left out entire seasons with little problems. I ran a big kerosene heater.

I set up my tent blind on a wooden platform about 18 inches high and leave it up from October to January. My blind will last me about 6 years. I have netting in my blind that keeps out most varmints and insects. I built a framwork around the inside for support made of pvc for my bow and my gun. My blind has a floor that helps with bugs.

I have a Kodiak canvas tent and take it down after each trip if I use it, mostly due to cows on our place. Don't doubt that if I did a good job anchoring it and fenced the cows off I could leave it up for extended periods of time.

Shoot. Eat. Repeat.

The Mr Heater Buddy Propane Heaters are rated for indoor use, we used one for years. Make sure its in good working order. Other propane heaters may not be indoor rated. Don't use those in a tent!

I would not use one inside a vinyl tent myself

I put brush on three sides and on the door side was only a foot away from thick brush and cows didn't come in there ....that kept cows away..however I had a coon crawl on a limb over the top and dropped in a window down inside the tent and damaged three sides, so then I cut the over hanging limb. I tapped the holes and used the tent another two years. LOL.. I also used my Buddy heater when it was cold..sure helped as the tent is COLD.

Mr. Buddy heaters are perfectly safe to use in a tent. I try to avoid it because they put out a lot of moisture into the air, but when it is really cold, I do not hesitate. There are a lot of propane heaters that will kill you if used indoors, but Mr. Buddy catalytic heaters are not among them.

Two things on this: My hunting partners use these really nice canvas T-pee's. They are big,go up quick and handle wind really well. They are spotless inside and roomy, they do very well in the Panhandle when it's very cold with Buddy heaters.

An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.
