Checking SD cards has lost some of its luster, pigs doing unspeakable things against the feeder in the middle of the night, etc., but then you come across one of these guys. We grow one about every year. I'll try to get my son on him. I promise, I will NOT shoot him this year.

I love it when that happens. Spotting a surprise shooter is always exciting. Thats one reason I like cameras so much. The process of looking at pics and talking with guys about what you see is a huge part of the overall hunting experience for me and all that hunt with me. This time of year I will usually look at cell cam pics twice a day. Its my favorite part of my day.

That’s a heck of a deer and a great surprise!! The only thing better than that is sitting in the stand and a deer you’ve never seen in person or camera shows up. When they start thinking with the wrong head things can go south for them real quick.

We have cell cameras on our place and we see a lot more animals when we are away than on property. The best thing we did was put a water tank in the bottom, It draws animals when there's plenty of forage.
