Is anyone in the Bell, Williamson, Coryell, Lampasas counties seeing doves after the cold front?
I saw very few in town around Austin and Round Rock today.

Hunted in menard yesterday and saw a handful of dove from 4:15-6:15. At 6:15 they started coming in groups of 5-15 and never stopped until dark.

Shot almost as bad as I ever have and got a limit done by 6:45

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Scouted today and saw a few doves scattered around the usual fields I hunt in Bell County. Not many there but I'll go Friday afternoon.

Not the county you asked about but, Kinney county had good numbers of northern birds on Wednesday and Thursday evening. Big and fat. I measured one with a 16" wingspan. The Mojo was working very well. I limited each afternoon. Set up at 5:00 pm and had them cleaned and bagged by 7:15. I included my name and date with each limit. I hunted a tank with no feeders within 1/2 mile. I went down to lease to fill feeders and did the dove hunt on a whim. I'm going to make it a point next year to hunt a October cold front. It was great!
