Does anyone see something that I don't. Was driven to Colorado twice in last two months.
Going to use it on the deer lease. Can't afford a sxs anymore.

The XJ is one the most reliable vehicles of all time.

I’d want to spend at least 30 minutes looking it over but, that looks like a fair price.

I’d would look very closely at anything aftermarket.

That’s a sharp one. I had a 90 something some years ago at the lease that I would run in 3 ft of flooded pasture with no problem. It was named Rambo. Ended up trading for a blind.

I just gave a cherokee with title to a wrecking yard near my deer lease. They offered to pay me something for it, but I was so happy they came out to the lease to get it, I told the guy to just pay it forward to someone else. I drove that thing back and forth to my stands for several years so I would not scratch up my vehicles. But the sun, rats, mesquite, cows, and snakes pretty much took it over and destroyed it over time. That is the thing about leaving a vehicle year round at a hunting lease. No matter how much rat poison I kept in it, the rats and other animals always found a way so though it still drove, much of the wiring eventually got chewed through. Lots of things on it stopped working because of it. I often found shed snake skins under and inside the jeep. Cows stripped all of the trim off of it. There were scorpions running around when it was moved from it's spot. But it was a great run for the years I was able to use it.

Check the body where the control arms meet, those were known rust and weak point due to the unibody construction.

The inline 6 is a great motor, I don’t know much about the auto transmission in Jeeps other than they don’t like to tow or constantly carry excess weight, which is one reason the manual was so popular.

Death wobble on them is a real thing, after a lot of use on the lease, don’t be surprised if you get death wobble on the paved roads.

That price is pretty good is it’s in as good of shape as it looks.

Way to celebrate. Good luck with it. I have a handful of friends that only drive this line and model year period of Jeep for lease vehicles. You'll love it.

An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

If this is gonna be a dedicated hunting wagon, i would dump that red paint job and get or do
a earth tone color so red doesnt stand out so much! Thats my 3 cents worth.....

Good luck!

It's now siting at my lease for the season. Drove it at 70mph from Hot Springs, Ark to the lease one hour south
of Childress. So 575 miles.

I've got a 99 that is my dedicated hunting rig. Lots of minor stuff needs fixing every year, but overall a very solid machine.
