I am new to these cameras. We set out 2 yesterday and got pics from when we activated them and then again yesterday evening. Have not got any since then though. I have it set for them to send pics every 6 hours. The app shows them to have good signal. If and when they decide to send pics again will I get all pics taken since the last time it sent pictures or just from the previous 6 hours? One thing I don't like about the cameras is there is no place for a SD card so if they never send pics I will be missing out on a lot of pictures. Any advice on these cameras would be appreciated.

That's rough. My Bushnells sometimes show signal but I don't get photos and it's frustrating as hell. Mine do have cards, though. I'll assume if yours doesn't transmit on schedule that you should get everything it's got since the last transmission, but you know what they say about assuming.

I think you and I already have the advice we need, and that's to look at a new brand. Good luck as you sort it out, hopefully you can get them working.

Could be that the cameras are not pointed in the right direction. Their placement could have shifted, which has happened to my Tactacams. There have been times when I had deer under the yard feeder but no pictures were taken. It was poor camera aiming by me.

The Tactacams send pictures as taken (usually), and I like that.

You will receive all the pictures taken since the prior upload. This can be a problem on a heavy picture month as you will get all the old pictures on a new month. I will usually select format my sd card before a new month starts.

My Moultrie Edge camera transmits photos with only a weak signal. There has been a time or two when I thought I found a photo on the card that I didn't remember seeing in the app but that might have been more my own poor memory.

However, your comments seem to indicate a weakness with cameras that don't have onboard memory. However, it would seem some level of built-in memory would be necessary to store photos for later transmission.

You can also set them up in the app to send a test photo every day. That’s how mine are set up, so I know they are working.

Do the test photo, adjust the sensitivity from the app and have it send pics immediately

Did you remember to put the antenna up? Cause I definitely forgot to put mine up when I first got an Edge. Hopefully it's something simple!

I've got two Moultrie Edge cameras set up right now, signal strength shows "fair", and I get lots of pics every day.

Mine works well. Really have no complaints. I have a regular camera running as well just in case

Thanks for everyone that responded. They are working properly now and I am getting pics now when I am supposed to. I don’t know why there was a delay at first but all is good now. I was hesitant at first to move to cell cams but am glad I did now. I am going back out there this weekend am going to set a camera that is not a cell cam up with a cell cam just to make sure I am seeing everything. Thanks again!
