The area had a bad winter, might be down on mule deer and elk, pronghorn too. I'd call and ask about the populations.

I hunted with them out of Meeker last year for fourth season and would recommend you stay away. Camp was a disaster, communication from outfitter was lackluster after paying. We bought elk and mule deer tags, didn't see a single deer all week and only saw 3 elk (non-shooters) at about 1000 yards one day.

I booked a private land mule deer hunt 2nd season through ( urge to hunt ) on this forum no lodging or food just the hunt ,this will be my first ever out of state outfitted hunt .just hoping for the best at this point will give full report when I get back .

I am very interested to hear how your experience has gone with urge to hunt to date as well as how the over all experience goes. I have heard very mixed reviews most poor. In for this one. Keep us updated.

Thus far no complaints with Serge, good communication , always prompt to answer any questions I send him , no bad vibes after speaking on the phone. But he isn’t the guide,

Yeah, my first time to go to Zimbabwe, their man in Dallas communicated great, answered all my questions, always answered the phone, etc. We landed in Zimbabwe and learned from the PH that the guy really was no longer an employee and had no right to donate the hunt for the auction in the first place. Imagine hearing that while standing in the Harare 3rd world airport for the first time. PH still showed us a fantastic hunt and he became a friend of mine over the years.

Hope you find some deer, as I stated that area got hammered by winter.
Only thing I would say negative about Serg was he was selling some Colorado LO vouchers that he said had no access, that is not legal. Last year I believe.
By the way weather change maybe/ is coming about mid October up this way. Not sure on those season dates but be ready for cold and maybe snow if around the 18th of October.
