I was sleeping great, but had to pee. Fought it for a bit, but finally got up, but decided to check the yard feeder first. And lo and behold, there was the hog I’ve been after (or his cousin). Big sucker. I grabbed the Grendel, shucked one in the chamber, snuck out the front door and hammered him. And again. And again. At last. I’m happy and wide awake. Note my Yard Fox in the second shot. Curious, I guess… The feeder light let’s me use my regular daytime Athlon Midas scope. Only mistake I made was that I left the front door open (an honest mistake) when I cranked off the rounds. I came back inside to find the wife standing in the bed and yelling “what the f are you doing”. I’ll close the door next time. Got a big hog in the back now. When it cools a bit, I’ll go after him. Oh my gosh thank you for the chuckle! I usually give my wife a heads up before tripping a trigger. I'm sure I'd get close to the same reaction if I did the same thing! Good luck on the hog!
Distance is not the issue, but the winds can make it interesting!
