Finished work in time to make a sit this evening. Wanted to get a deer down last week to make a batch of dried but it didn’t work out. Rushed to get in the stand thinking the feeders went off at 5:30…turned out I had them set for 6:30. When I got down I tailgate fed the feeder and after I got set up it wasn’t long till the deer moved in. Had a nice youngish 8 come in along with an old, small racked 8, big neither of them interested me all that much. At one time had 15 deer in front of me. Right at 6:15 I had a doe start feeding at 20 yards, a quick check confirmed no visible udders so I drew back, set the pin and let it fly. Happened real fast like it sometimes does. Arrow blew thru her, she made it about 40 yards and then keeled over.
