I you're looking to make an unregistered silencer, lots of luck to you. If you're are looking to finish one out and stamp it, the typical ones I have seen are POS. There are some fairly well made ones but they aren't 50 bucks on eBay. By the time you spend the money, time and effort for one of the good ones, and add 200 bucks for a stamp, It's not worth it to me.

Well, given that the possible outcome is ten years as a guest of the Federal government, my opinion is "not worthwhile"

Some folks get them with the intent to Form 1 it but don't know possessing the parts to manufacture one before the Form 1 is approved is already unlawful.

^^^ this ^^^

plenty of affordable factory made suppressors out there these days.. so youre not looking at much of a cost savings... and if youre doing things the "right" way and registering, youre not saving any money on the tax stamp either..

not worth it to me.. easier to just buy a Yankee Hill from one of the larger dealers and move on IMO..

As others have said not worth it. They kind of suck.

I did one on a Form1 because they were coming back in a week vs Form4 that was about a year out.

I bought full titanium except for SS blast baffle full cerakoted, think when all said and done it was around $350 bucks. Plus the $200 tax stamp. I then had to buy titanium drill bits in the correct size because mine was completely solid except for the threaded end cap, but the exit end cap was solid and all baffles were solid, that was another $25ish. Then $45 to get it engraved.

So I could have spent $100-$200 more and got an actual good legit suppressor from YHM or someone. I was just impatient and didn’t want to wait.

It’s not even hearing safe on 300BLK subs. I dislike it so much I’ve contemplated destroying it and nullifying my tax stamp. I always seem to come back to deciding I dislike the ATF more and would never give it back lol.

That is a good example of the experience of doing one.
