Just a shoutout to inform y'all on a BAD experience that I and my buddy had WHEN DEALING WITH LONESTAR PREMIER OUTFITTERS. We booked a 3 day dove hunt back in mid April for a scheduled hunt in September (3,4 &5th).As y'all might remember that was when a small Huracan hit the San Antonio aera. Well our 1st hunt was suppose to be on the Tuesday morning . The guide called us Monday night and said to meet him at 6am. No earlier, he never gave us his phone number. It had rained off and on on Monday. It rained ALL night long, but we got up dressed and drove out to his field .It was cut over corn field and already turn under. That didn't bother us but as we stood out in the still pouring rain our guide "called the hunt off", which was the right thing to do and he said here's the phone number to the second guide. Later on that day we go in touch with the second guide. we were suppose to hunt commercially grown sunflowers. It also had been stated that there was at least a 50 yard hard packed ground all the way around the field. Now we were supposed to hunt in the evening for this one. He callas in the evening and says the owner of the field that apparently said he was closing down his field due to all the rain. I have NO PROBLEM with that. The problem comes when you've made at least 5 phone calls and just as many texts to the hunt coordinator to see what we could do. Can we reschedule for next year/ Or could you refund our money? Nothing, so my hunting friends stay away from these people you will be thoroughly dis appointed and about $1500.00 in the hole without firing a shot.

Rain can mess things up for any dove outfitter, or any dove hunt. One thing that will piss off any land owner is mess up/get stuck in their dove field. Many times you don’t know if it is too wet to drive into the field until right before the hunt.
But if you get rained out, you should be able to hunt another day no charge.

I agree, can't do much about the rain. But not getting in touch with you right away to make other arrangements is chitty!
