Every Fall or Winter, we visit our friends down in Matagorda and enjoy the fruits of living in Texas. Redfish, oysters, deer hunting, and picking our own pecans off their 40 acres along Caney Creek. Just something special about fresh nuts you crack and process by yourself! They make awesome pecan pancakes for breakfast too!!! OH MY this looks great!!
I will stop by Texas Pecan in Vernon/Chillicothe in November and buy mine. Used to get them off the ground in Comfort at my old lease. I like to spread them on a cookie sheet coat with butter and roast. Great while watching UT Football.
