If a doe has yearlings will she go into estrus the following spring? Or will she skip until her young honoring their own?
A majority of my does in my area are with yearlings and I wonder how that will affect bucks coming to or not coming to my area in search of hot does.

If food supply is adequate, does can have fawns every year. They will still come into heat with a yearling.

Does come into heat in the Fall so not sure about your question about Spring. If she has yearlings hanging around her then those are last years fawns and approaching 1.5 years old. If that’s the case then the bucks will hit both generations and maybe even this years fawns.

Once they get into heat, they will run this year’s fawns off until it’s over. Then they get back together until she has new ones in early summer.

An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

The ones here run all the yearlings off and they group up together. Once she is bred, she takes them back. Last year the group of yearlings here looked like a deer gang

You know what's going on when the fawns/yearlings start hitting the feeders alone. Mama is out sparkin'...

Yall are confusing me. It sounds like some are using the term “yearling” for this years fawns. This years “fawns” would only be a few months old right now. A yearling needs to have had its first Birthday and thus be a few months past at this time of year. Ive heard guys use the term like that for bigger fawns later in the year but the way the OP question was posed I didnt think that’s what he meant.

Pretty sure that all healthy does 1 1/2 or older will come into estrus in the fall ( hormones driven by "photoperiod").
Not only that, but in a healthy herd, even some of the female fawns [who have attained a certain weight] will come into estrus that first season.

Thanks for all the responses.
Freerange, you are correct in that I was calling this years fawns, yearlings.
So let me start over….
If a doe is catering to this years fawns then does she come into estrus again during the next rut? A majority of my does have fawns with them now.

The next rut will be soon and then again next year etc. Every year about same time and almost every doe will be bred every year regardless what fawns she may have or not have. Nature wants all species to procreate and he devised a great plan to get it done come hell or hi water.
