Nice little cool front came in finally, but no rain, ugh !! Sitting at 56 degrees just before noon.

Elk chili is in the pot , should be ready for early dinner- before beers downtown.

Elk burger and elk stew meat
white onion
garlic
roasted medium+ green chiles
Chugwater chili mix
smoked guajillo chile powder
whole tomatoes- crushed by hand
Mexican oregano
and yes beans, 3 kinds. Hubby requested them.

Looks great. It`s that time of year. I made some about 3 weeks ago when it got down to the low 50`s with the front that brought me 9.65 inches of rain.

I`m OK with the beans. No hater here. up

We finally got a cold front so I decided to follow your lead with a quick and easy pot of Chili.

Used all of the Wick Fowler ingredients except the Masa.
Followed the recipe except for using a can of Hunts 15 oz Fired Roasted Diced Tomato's crushed up in a blender instead of an 8 oz. can of Tomato Sauce.
It calls for 2 cups of water I only use 1 1/2 to compensate for the larger can of the diced tomato's.
For the meat Costco Prime Rib Beef Steak Burgers on sale for $4.07lb.

Had a bowl and a half for lunch, pretty tasty for chili out of the box.

I use WF2A as well but add a few other ingredients. Ground brisket for the win.

TPACK you loaded it up there young man, looks way good!

Correction it was SAMS meat, not COSTCO. Would like to jazz mine up a little more with some small diced Jalapeno's, Onions and Green Bell Peppers but the wife likes it fairly plain.

I add 4-5 Tbs. of the Morton's Chili Blend and I don`t add the masa either. Theres enough salt in the sausage to season all the chili.

Here is night 2 from a pot I made, makes great Frito pie...

-Ground venison
-Cubed venison (because it was thawed and I needed to use it) this was a great addition, I usually just use ground
-Onion
-SPG
-Home made chili powder from dried chipotles from the garden
-Garden Jalapenos
-Last quart of garden tomatoes
-Can of Ranch style beans just because people always argue beans/no beans

Cooked low and slow with the lid cracked to reduce the amount of liquid, we like thick meaty chili...
