Not really but almost. I made smothered rabbit today for the first time.
Chopped celery, onions, mushrooms and bell peppers and cooked down. Pan browned a young rabbit in seasoned flour then added the veggies back. Covered in chicken stock and cream of mushroom soup and put in the oven for a couple hours. Served it over rice with some yellow squash.

I haven’t had rabbit in years. We raised them for meat when I was a kid. I need to go find me a couple of rabbits food

Good looking meal. We ate lots of rabbit growing up, we had around 24 hutches that was one of my chores to take care of. My mother had so many different ways to fix rabbit, but I think chicken fried was my favorite.

I butchered a bunch of them over the years, they always looked good. The kids had looks of terror when you shopped the bunny on the head.
Food looks great!

Do I recall correctly, harvest and eat wild rabbits only in Fall and winter months ending in "r" and "y", , Sept., Oct., Nov., Dec., Jan. and Feb. otherwise run the risk of worms in the rabbits in those warmer months. An experienced rabbit harvester and connoisseur told us this several decades back while shooting rabbits.

I only shoot rabbits on days that end with a "y".

I grew up on “don’t hunt rabbits in a month without an R”. That’s only 4 months you can’t eat them based on that. May-August.

They have “wolves”, which are some type of botfly larvae. Squirrels get them, too. I don’t worry about them, they tend to creep out when the body cools anyway. Still good to eat.
