What does "pending 2nd draw" mean on the texas draw hunts?

It means your in the pool for a 2nd draw if anyone drawn on the first round does not accept or pay for their permit. I have been drawn on the 2nd draw for at least a couple of hunts since the first year they started doing that, so it can happen.

It means your in the pool for a 2nd draw if anyone drawn on the first round does not accept or pay for their permit. I have been drawn on the 2nd draw for at least a couple of hunts since the first year they started doing that, so it can happen. I'm glad there is hope, but I have had good luck on first draws over the years. Two grandsons just hit on the last youth draws.

How long does it take for second draw to happen? My boy is awaiting second on a few entries.

How long does it take for second draw to happen? My boy is awaiting second on a few entries. Payment/Acceptance deadlines are normally 10 calendar days from the date of the drawing. If all hunt permits are not accepted by the payment/acceptance deadline, a Secondary Draw will be performed to select alternate hunters. https://tpwd.texas.gov/huntwild/hunt/public/public_hunt_drawing/faqs.phtml
