We’re in Aspermont and it’s been the worst season I’ve seen in several years. The kid working at the feed store told me his family has a place in Haskell and they’ve been covered up with birds.

Went this past weekend. I’m south of town off 277. Very hot out and slow. Not good numbers

Haven’t been out there since the opener, but a lot of birds while I was there, they were on the move too.

I back up to 160 acres of cut wheat have a good size pond and I mowed while we were there. I think the opener was the best bc of the cooler weather, but it ran em out of there. It was back around 100 on sun. Sat was in the 90s w cloud cover. We still got to shoot just nothing to shout about

we beat the rain this weekend. hunting west of Stamford was fabulous. our group hunted Friday afternoon and Saturday afternoon. all late afternoon stock tank shooting. tons of birds. best hunts we have had in years on our lease.
