Last weekend between Hillsboro and Corsicana i saw three buzzards and a crow. think the cold front moved the birds out.

I am taking my daughter out for this afternoon for the first time this year. We are both excited, so will the dog when she figures out what is happening.

I too am taking an old friend I’ve known since 5th grade ( I’m 60 now ) .

Guys, the night before was just like the Normandy invasion from the movie "The Longest Day". They were coming in fast and hot and all I could do was miss one after another. Yesterday I finally got my new barrel tuned to my eye and got 3. Better than nothing, but there were birds for me to miss. Thanks again Billy - I can't say this enough. We love there, and it makes up for Stiles farms closing us public guys down. That, and Stiles farms doesn't offer up Billy Hunt in the process neither. Oh the BS we get to have when we get together.

I saw 4 birds yesterday evening all out of range. The great thing is my daughter still had a blast hanging out, never was she bored which was the important part.

We had a great day yesterday bird hunting tho the dove flight was slow it was great to be out on a Beautiful peace of property with my son and good friend!

My buddy and I are both sixty, went to High School together. His son did okay and got his first few birds. He kept saying he was leading them but I worked with him this am and he was not. We'll try to get him out again but he was clearly aiming at the bird, which we all do occasionally. I ended up with 24 in 2 hunts.

Sounds like y’all had an epic hunt , congrats there no better time then time spent in the field with friends and family! We will try and get out one or two more times when the birds move in better. We ended up with 15 birds between us

It was fun. But super hot. Nice job deerslayer. I really love dove hunting. It just starts the whole hunting season off in a cool way. Plus I love to eat them. It sets the the tone for early teal this week down on the prairie and right into deer season.

Great friend of mine gave me a Beretta 3901 for Christmas back in 2004 and I been hunting with it since. Love that gun
