My buddy drew a NM Bear tag and asked me to come along and help out. I jumped at the chance to get out of this heat and be in the mountains. No luck but great being in the mountains. My buddy made a great shot and he dropped right there! Game warden said he was probably 12-15 years old judging from the teeth. Shot the bear at 4:30 and packed the last load to the truck at 10:30. Exhausted but happy! If the tag was mine I don't think I could have had any more fun!

Good luck on the aging results, if you find where to get them let me know, I have 3 in NM I’m curious on.

NM always looks good and is even better when you score! I've been on three elk hunts where we saw bear, but didn't have a tag!
