Lean the had way....think he got the point! ! ! Multiple times. Those quills don't back out. They will keep getting pushed in deeper. Wouldn't be surprised to see him lose one or both eyes.

I'll bet that feeder was shimmed level. Might've been with a cedar branch, but shimmed level.

I'll bet that feeder was shimmed level. Might've been with a cedar branch, but shimmed level. Aka, Old German cheap “creativity”, buck is obviously hard headed German too

Surprisingly the Doss Flash indicated later photos indicated the buck was seen without the quills pretty quickly and did suffer adversely.

I shot a mouflon sheep many years ago that was hanging with two other rams.
He was acting funny, looking off at things that were not there when his buddies were looking at me, etc.
I shot him and when I went over to him I discovered he had dozens of porcupine quills in the back of his head. I think he was fevered up and possibly going blind.
Tried to get him mounted like that buck the taxidermist didn’t do it
