Looking for a very reliable ~600 pound stand-and-fill deer feeder. Varmint-proof, built-in solar panel setup, preferably 12v, consistent timer and reliable spinner system.

Strong recommendations from friends on the Lamco feeders that Tractor Supply *used* to stock and less enthusiastic reviews of the current Treeline brand that they are carrying (#1 replace the timer and #2 the inertia-driven varmint proof spinner is too finicky).

Prefer to find some things in the DFW area (or out 380-West to Jacksboro, 114 to Olney) if possible.

I like the Bucees and many on here do as well. Lots of threads about them.

Thanks. Anyone have thoughts on the ASF EZ fill at Bucees vs. other?

Here's the one not sold at Bucees.

I'm on the fourth year using the Buccee feeder, zero issues.

I think the non bucees is stouter built but costs a lot more. Me and most on here think Bucees is "good enough". What most do not like about the non bucees is the varmit cage. It serves its purpose BUT any cage will cause the corn to hit the cage and corn will not throw near as far as the plate style that has become very popular.
I wont spend time detailing the bucees cause there are lots of very long threads on here about them(easy to scroll back and look.)
I will say that the bucees and most any of the plate style arent completely coon proof. A very long armed, hungry, industrious coon can reach in and turn the spinner plate a little. They easily will rake off the remains of corn on the plate.

All, thanks for your help. Agree on the cost tradeoff perspective - it would be nice to find a good solution that lands closer to $500.

Also, I posted the same question on another outdoor forum and getting lots of other options to consider.

The hunting show this weekend is in F
T Worth, they should have placenta to look at

I have all season , bucees, mb ranch king, and homemade
. Ranch king is my favorite but pricey.
The one I see a lot of that I’m not impressed is green go feeders

I am a firm believer in my Tractor Supply Treeline 350lb. feeder. They also have the 600 lb. for $599.

I'm pulling towards the TS Treeline as well.

The 600# corn feeder is still $499. The new protein feeder is $599.

IMO if you run clean corn in the TS feeder, it will run 100%. I've had mine (600#) out since Oct/Nov and after the hiccup where the early models had bad spinner alignment, and I ran dirty corn in it, it's been top notch. It's run twice a day every day without a problem since December. IMO The Timer is fine, I haven't had any problems there either.

I think all seasons makes a different feeder. The slope to the funnel could be a bit steeper. I use the timer for a clock, with a solar charger.

I just bought the 600# one from TSC ($499) and set it out today. Time will tell if it holds up to the coons.

Jimbo tell me how it goes. I'm planning on getting one too just need time to run to Tractor Supply. I've been researching and I think the Treeline ones are the best for the dollar and my needs.

Had a bad timer in mine. Set it out and set the time, feed times, and hit the test button. Threw corn so I left. Came back a week later and no corn was thrown all week. Damn timer still had the same time on it as when I set it up. TSC was good about replacing the timer. I’ll go back Sunday and find out for sure it’s still working.
