Rarely am I impressed with production knives but this one is a beast. I’m not a hog dogger but keep having some close encounters with boars. I always have a gun on me but I like having several tools in my toolbox. I kicked around making a pig knife and then found a smoking deal on this. 1095 steel with a 7.5” blade. I’ve never had a Tops knife before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. It’s balanced perfectly and the fit/finish is great.

Good looking knife. Hope you never have to defend yourself.

About a week ago things got pretty sporty. It was my fault for leaving my gun in my Ranger about 20 feet away. This will just add another layer of protection.

That one is nice. I make two or three a year for customers, I don't have enough courage to get that close to a live pig. This is my pig knife creation.

I went back and forth between yours and the Tops. I liked the blade height a little more on the Tops.

I understand, I've made a lot of pig knives. Some I just come up with an idea and others I made what the customer asks for. Here's an example of one extreme to the other
The orange handle I made for a customer in Lousanna for $250.00 that's the minimum I charge for a custom order.

The Damascus one was made with Sanbar Stag, scrimshaw on the handle and Alabama Damascus Steel. That one I sold for $1,200.00 dollars. Just depends on material and time to make it.
