I think it's a Mississippi Kite.
We have a bunch in our neighborhood this summer.

Mississippi Kite. They are fun birds to watch during migration. Counted over 300 at one time that landed and roosted in trees around the blind I was sitting in while hunting last fall

I'm no expert on birds. But we have those (kites) in our area during the summer months and I would agree with the others that it looks like a Mississippi Kite.

They nest in Lubbock every year. We had a pair in a local park that started dive-bombing all the foot-traffic, as their nest-tree was close to the walking track. The city had to put up a warning sign.

Mississippi Kite. There's a pair in my neighborhood. While walking the dog early in the morning I frequently see them buzzing the trees trying to kick up cicadas. They do like cicadas.

I agree with a Mississippi kite. They are kinda rough on the birds at my bird feeder.

Nice I have been watching a pair behind our house for the last few months and wondering WTH they were. Nothing shows up under hawks found in texas. Thanks for the info. I have never seen them around here prior.

They tend to be very aggressive if you walk under their nesting area. I used to play at a golf course where your partner would have to stand behind you waving a club in the air to keep them from dive bombing while you tee'd off.
