2024 should be a good year. We had plenty of rain until recently so we had good natural browse and the springs are still holding good water. We put out 7K pound of protein a few months ago and just refilled this weekend (normally this last about a month). With things starting to dry up my guess is they will go through this fill much quicker. Anyway, here are some recent pics. Post em if you got em.
Appears you have some good numbers. Nice looking bucks.
Thank you! WAY too many does for sure. Buck population is two-fold; one, I'm letting them age, and two, there is very light pressure in the 12-1500 acres immediately around me. Last season we took 8 does and one buck (MLD).
Just completed my Harvest enrollment for 2024; tag allotment is 3 bucks, 1 spike, 11 does. We'll see how that goes.
Had this buck on my Missouri farm today they roaming arpund eating blackberries on briar patches Planted food plot June 29th it’s looking good Antler King Booner Buffet and Slam Dunk this year
Nice group of bachelors you got there. I like that feeder too. Is that the one with the 2 disks and no cage or are you just running the eliminator spinner plates?

I'm not sure. It's an MB Ranch King; I've had them out almost three years. This is what the setup looks like.
Interesting set up. It looks like it does a good job of keeping the coons and squirrels out.
The squirrels don't seem to give it much attention; in fact, I seldom see them on camera even eating corn. Coons definitely eat the corn but we've been hammering them for 8 mos with the Dukes traps. I suspect we've killed over 40 but I didn't keep a count. I've only got a few pics where the coons were actually jacking with the feeder. I have a Treeline feeder as well; neither of the two brands throws all that far.
The dbl D protein buffet is being hit really hard right now. There's a small, injured doe that comes in solo 1945 or so to beat the evening crowd with the rest showing up around 2100 and doing walk-bys until morning. These are two of the nicer bucks that appear fairly regularly, but there are seven really young ones in the group as well.

Where is your lease located? Good early development!

We're on the south side of Brady. Been on a solid protein and cotton seed diet for about 9 seasons. We're really seeing the difference. Especially, in the mature bucks.
When I was guiding, we had a tripod next to a road which we fed 2x a day from the truck. It took less than a week for the deer to come out onto that road and you could watch them in the rear view mirror as you continued feeding. They adapt quickly.
