Redoing a feeder, I do not need an eliminator style on this one. Is there a style that is better than another? Seeing tornado, flappers on the end / gated, and simple round style

If not using eliminator I would still use a gated spinner plate due to wind
|

Definitely use gates or flaps to cut down on corn loss.

I use the flapper/gated plates and set them about 3/4" from the funnel. Hard to shake any corn out of them. The close gap means the corn needs to be pretty clean, and it needs longer run time, but it throws farther resulting in a better broadcast of corn.

I dont consider 3/4" gap to be close at all. We set them 1/2". I do agree with others on the gate or flap.
