We will be offering a limited number of all inclusive meat hunts this year. You will have 5 star lodging in a 3 story remodeled 1890 plantation style home in downtown Vicksburg. The home, itself has tons of history, in fact president Eisenhower stayed there and danced the night away! It is absolutely beautiful. It is fully furnished, you will have tv and WiFi, available. You will get 3 meals a day. It is only a couple miles from the civil war park! It also is only 2 miles from the McRavin house which is claimed to be the most haunted house in Mississippi…Don’t worry though we’ve not encountered any ghost in our house…yet! We’re only a mile or 2 from the Mississippi River as well! So if you get a wild hair and would like to try and catfish the mighty Mississippi there are some public places to try. So there are several different things you could do while not hunting!

We have 4 different hunting properties that are 20-40 minute drive from the house depending on which place we hunt. The house is in the city so we will have to drive to the hunting land! We will monitor cameras and put you in the best position to get it done! Meals will be cooked or we can treat you to 5 star restaurants 5 minutes from the house. It will be all inclusive minus alcohol, if you want to drink you are responsible to buy your own drinks. There will be a $250 per person day fee to cover lodging and meals. If you do not get a shot opportunity ( shot opportunity meaning you pull the trigger) then you will only pay the day fees. Game fee will be $400 per doe taken and that includes quartering your game after kill or $350 If you’d like to clean your own game. Bring your own ice chest for your meat! You are welcome to bring as many non hunter guest as you wish just for the additional day fees of $250 per person/per day.

If you draw blood we will do our best to recover your animal and we have access to blood trailing dogs. We may have opportunities at cull bucks, but will have to check cameras at the time of your hunt. Pricing on culls will vary. Hunts will be on planted foodplots with feeders or over hardwood creek bottoms out of box stands. It is all free range private land owned by my family. Land will vary from 250 acres to 60 acres pieces. It is hunting so you just never know how it will go, but we typically see deer every hunt and having access to properties in different locations we can typically get on deer. Typically does will weigh between 90-130 pounds, but we have killed them in the 150 pound range! If you don’t shoot you only pay the day fees! You’ll be guaranteed some good food, beautiful historic lodging, and some pretty hunting spots!

This will be the first time doing any hunts other than friends or family! We’ve worked very hard to improve each spot and take a lot of pride in these places. Feel free to ask me questions. I can send pictures of the house and deer. I’m only doing this to help recover some expense from cost of protein/corn and meet new people while giving them a chance to see Vicksburg and get an opportunity to hunt!

This is a doe we have 6 YEARS of pictures! She’s always had a slightly swollen jaw, but it’s more pronounced now that she’s older! We rarely ever see her on the hoof anymore, but just showing there is a possibility at some big does.

She weighed the same as my fiancé who killed her with a bow. Here’s a hint don’t ask a woman how much she weighs, but if you ask her how much the deer weighed it was around 135!

Also have an opportunity to see the Mississippi black bears! We see them in person a few times each year.

What dates available? What does out of state license cost?

Dates will be pre rut or post rut late season. I am set up to offer archery hunts which would start on October 1st. I don’t plan on doing any hunts between December 15th-January 15th. That may change, but as of right now those dates are out.
