I put out a feeder yesterday. The area it’s in has a lot of deer traffic. It’s set to go off at 7am and 730pm. We saw some does about 100 yards from where we put the feeder. How long until deer started regularly coming to it? The hogs have already found it.

They should show this weekend. but you might add a late afternoon or early evening set to your setup. The deer are probably nocturnal due to the heat.

In depends on the area. In a high density area, they may find it the same day. I hunt in an area loaded with deer (Mills Co). I start my feeder going about 2 weeks before opener. If I started it opening morning, I don't think it would make much difference, since I don't need the feeder to see deer. I start it before the season because I make a trip to check on my stand, and other equipment.

We put 4 new feeders out on our lease in mid october last year thinking it would be a long shot if the deer started coming in regularly before the season started.. we just planned on hunting the old spots and letting the additional feeders introduce additional food to the area..
they were hitting all 4 of them hard within 72 hours.. they didnt care at all about the new blinds that went up in proximity of the new feeders either.. they werent any more skittish or wary at those locations than any of the others..
I was out at our lease all day friday and most of yesterday working on a blind and doing some repairs.. one of the feeders had been empty for the last few weeks.. so I filled it (this was the feeder next to the blind that I had just spent 2 days working around..)..
we left the property at 530 PM yesterday...
I had 3 doe hit the feeder at roughly 730 (tail cam pic time stamp).. just 2 hours after we left..
It takes a lot to disturb a deer.. they are as serious about eating corn as hogs are it would appear.. lol..

If they are within hearing range, when the corns starts bouncing off of the slinger plate, they will usually come at least to investigate, if they have EVER heard and ate at a feeder before.
When calling hogs, after 10 minutes of quiet, I start the sequence with a recording of my feeder spinning and slinging corn followed by happy hog sounds. Seems to work better when calling IF they think there is corn involved.

They’ve already found it, hogs will be the reason they don’t visit the feeder. Fence it off or you won’t see many deer depending where you are.

Like everyone else says----deer will find corn within a day or two.
I concur with rickym----if you want to feed deer, but hogs have also found it, you will need to fence the feeder with 8-10 hog panels, otherwise, you are just feeding Hogs.
I would also throw 15-20 minutes before actual sunrise and at actual sunset this time of year.
I just pulled my cards and most activity at feeder is between 6-7am and 8:30pm into the night. I am getting the occasional doe that feeds between 10am-2pm as she is feeding as her fawn remains hidden.
Put a camera on your feeders and let the fun begin!!!
