When I was working for a paving contractor many many moons ago, I feel in love with feeding hard working people as a sign of gratitude. Every Friday, this wonderful old Mexican crew leader would go to the store and come back with loads of proteins, tortillas, and sides. He’d spend 2-3 hours cooking on an old homemade pit and discada. We’d all gather around under a giant shade tree and enjoy real working man fellowship over some amazing food. Here’s my spread for the boys building my barn. Nothing beats country ribs, chicken quarters, grilled jalapeños, tomatoes, and of course I served beans and fresh tortillas with a homemade green sauce. Come on yall!

We cooked for the electricians (2 days) who wired and ran power to my new shop. Hard working guys and they really appreciated the gesture.
