Heck I might have to start my own little part time business considering how much they charge. Got an old Toro self propelled mower and the side door to allow grass clipping to blow out broke, never used it anyways. After trying to fix it, realized a part was broken so I decided to use my highly honed professional skills and fix it myself. Ran it through the body shop one more time and slapped another piece of Redneck tape on top to keep debris from piling up and to give it nice clean lines. . That mower will be the envy of the neighborhood, I can hear them now saying, Wow how can I get my hands on a custom mower like that. I want to see a pic of after mowing, to make sure the repair held up. Yeah....me too. My prediction is that it will drop off faster than a prom dress.

It's still 'taped' on. Give it time. You are correct sir, that tape over time will begin to fall apart. Good news is it only need to last me this summer/growing season, because I have other options. 1. Got plenty more Duct Tape and glue where that came from 2. I gave my other Toro lawn mower to our young next door neighbors as a gift, two kids and tight budgets. Well they are moving and he offered to give it back to me, it actually runs and works better than the one that I have re-rigged. 3. If push comes to shove, I can always buy another one
