I have a neat little 1-4 Leupold scope with the elevation stuck.
Who fixes older Leupolds? Thanks in advance, LC

I sent Leupold a M8 6x that I had had and used for decades, and that I had bought used at a gun show. It had a loose lens. I guess that decades of recoil finally beat some of their glue loose. They said they couldn’t fix it, so they sent me a new one at no cost to me. That was way more than fair, to the point that I even felt guilty.
I sent them a couple of scopes that weren’t broke, but I wanted a new reticle. They did what I asked, for a fee, and they replaced all the windage/elevation innards at no extra charge.

Leupold is awesome. My daughters boyfriend dropped her rifle ten feet from a blind. The fall broke off the front half of the scope, ahead of the turrets. I sent in the parts and explained that I was willing to pay get it fixed as it was clearly not a warranty issue. They sent her a brand new scope, no charge

I think you can count on Leupold making sure you end up with a scope, but if you have any special attachment to the one that has locked up on you be aware that once it's in Leupold's hands you may not get it back. I don't really know if you can decline a replacement...the last one I sent in was never seen again; I was simply informed a replacement was being sent to me. If you just want something that "works" (per Leupold's criteria) then I'm sure you're covered.

I used Iron Sight LLC to rebuild an old Weaver K4 and Redfield 1-4x scopes a few years ago. They did an awesome job. I can't remember if they do Leopold scopes or not. But if you want to keep your old scope instead of getting a new one from Leopold it would be worth asking. Their web site seems to be down, but I send them an e-mail and got an auto reply "Thank you for contacting Iron Site. Our shop hours are Monday through Thursday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, CST. The approximate turnaround time for scope service is 10-11 months. Emails will be answered in the order received. Thank You, Rachael Miller-Lansdown Iron Sight, LLC Rachael Miller-Lansdown Iron Site, LLC 4814 S. There used to be a fellow named Bill Ackerman in El Paso who worked on scopes. I think he was right in my old neighborhood, fairly close to the old Weaver factory. In fact, he may have been an old employee of Weaver, kinda makes sense.
I wonder what ever became of that operation.

I've got an El Paso, TX Weaver that my Paw gave me attached to a Savage 99.
I need to send it to Iron Sight for a new reticle. I had no idea it takes nearly a year.

I need to send it to Iron Sight for a new reticle. I had no idea it takes nearly a year. Another option for the Weaver repair is Vintage Gun Scopes. I haven't personally used them, but I know others who have and were happy. https://www.vintagegunscopes.com/scopeservices

I need to send it to Iron Sight for a new reticle. I had no idea it takes nearly a year. Mine didn't take that long. It was about 2 months. I sent them a Weaver K4 and a old Redfield 1-4x. I think they quote really long wait times so people don't get upset at moderately long wait times. Or may be they have gotten busier.
